Striped out the rear axle due to a broken spring .. noticed one disc was knackered and a seized caliper .. decided to do the bushes while I'm here .. many parts on order!

How did you get under it? I need to do mine this summer, but that's what's stopping me ATM........I don't know anyone with a pit or a hydraulic ramp, so it's me crawling about in the dirt (which I don't fancy). Are normal (heavy duty - 2.5 tonne/pair) ramps OK? |

Why worry about being on the ground, getting covered in Dinitrol is worse. Trust me I've been there.

Unless you go to a place that specifically does applications for you I doubt anyone would allow it due to the overspray mess that’s left behind.
Myself personally I’d never get under it unless it is on the ground, in gear handbrake on and wheel chocked and safe. I wouldn’t trust ramps or stands, and I see little point in any gained access by removing the wheel anyway. You can still mask off the brakes etc from the inside. That being said everyone has their own way of doing things, just be safe as that’s more important than metal protection at the end of the day. ![]() ⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Yes, they'll be fine - the whole vehicle weighs less than 2.5 tonnes. Put them under one side at a time (one front wheel and one back) to hugely increase the available access.
