 Click image to enlarge Seems a bit daft but its something i've like the idea of for a long time, I currently have bilstein b6 on my defender with -1" springs from alive the 'sport' springs, Would the 0-1" shocks work with it being lowered? Im thinking getting the remote res, non adjustable im currently stateside and these are my options for a defender, i have plenty of luggage capacity for bringing them back... Also will need an 'aftermarket shock tower' wonder for the size of the damper or length Click image to enlarge |

Can't answer your question directly, but something to consider - the fox range are available in the UK and no more expensive
For example 985-24-122 & 985-24-123 is showing as $270 = £215, but available domestically for £200. > 110 XS Double Cab |

Interesting about the price differences, I got a reply from 4x4 fabrications staying he has them available so might just go with him...
The prices from the fox website are a bit high, they can be had for $220 each instead of 275 but maybe it’s not worth the hassle... let’s see what 4x4 fab comes back with |

Found this kit online,
also like the look at the bilstein b8 8125 but they are about $550 a corner... 
Im guessing its just the external reservoir that would require the different shock tower? if i mounted this somewhere else im sure standard would work? |

Is there a specific reason you want the remote reservoirs? They're sexy don't me wrong! I have the standard type Fox dampers all round which I am very happy with - around £100 per corner.
You need an aftermarket shock tower as the remote hose will foul the standard dome towers. Perhaps you could change the hose fitting at the damper connection for a 90degree one I don't know but changing the shock towers would be easier. I changed the towers anyway as you can't see the fox stickers otherwise

I just want
Ill see about the shock towers, need some standard height then... will start looking. My old suspension has been on maybe 3/4 years now and maybe its time for a freshen up... Still handles like its on rails. I know its complete overkill but so are 362mm brakes... still have them  |

Fair. In your first post the photo shows the reservoir being fixed to the shock tube. I'm not sure whether there is the clearance to fit like this on a Defender. You may possibly need to remotely mount them

Hi, thats a little billet adapter that comes with them, but yeah ill relocate the reservoir

Just a thought, if you can't get lowered dampers then you could look at lowered turrets/rear shock mounts. I've seen them for 2", not sure about 1" > 110 XS Double Cab

To be honest, my current dampers (bilstein b6) are okay for standard height and -1”
I guess if anything the damper is gonna just sit slightly more into its stroke... Bit like mountain biking measuring sag  |

for a road going defender i wouldn't bother with remote reservoir ones
ones like simon has are more than enough

It’s more of a show car / tow car / throw the bikes on roof
Heart is set on remote reservoirs... I really did contemplate the adjustable rears for when towing the boat about 2.6 ton unloaded... |

Have you got these fitted yet? I’m about to fix Fox dampers without the external res and I also tow a heavy boat approx 2.5 ton will be interesting to see how they handle
