Sorted my tow bar electrics. Never used them in 3 years and they were decidedly corroded.

After testing with a trailer and narrowing things down, all socket connections are clean and everything works. Sorted in time for giving the local scouts a hand in July taking a trailer to their summer camp and picking it up a few days later.

The saga of the alternator whine interference on the CB continues. I took a look at the alternator with the intention of fitting a surpressor. I say I took a look, but it's that crammed in could hardley see it from above or below. Any ideas how to get at it, especially the wires/connections???

I tried ferrites on the power lead, but no joy.

Thats electrical interference, brought by the amplifier. You can get a surpressor if you wanted to. Mike

After doing some tests the power lead is the route of the interference and it comes straight from the battery.

It doesn't have that as standard then? It doesn't do it with the radio or cds. 2011 110 USW

Embarassed Yes, even copper greased the now redundant seat bolts going back in Whistle Also just put on the other Entreq mudflap reinforcing bracket - a must I should think especially if you are travelling on motorways, can't see the ali lasting 5 minutes otherwise - very bad/lazy engineering bolting the rear mudflap bracket with all the stress and movement straight onto the body without any strengthening Rolling Eyes
