What mileage has it done?
Good job you have found it as itโd cause premature wear on the rest of the steering components and before you know it they all need to then be replaced. Was there vagueness in responsiveness at the steering wheel? If I recall correct Ed on wheeler dealers in the past had the very same issue with a Disco 2 I think it was.

No idea on the mileage, I could dig through paper work and find out.
Not quite vagueness but at speed it feels worse and some roads/surfaces (mainly motorway) feel worse than others. But you can feel it in the car 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Had a day pottering about picking stuff up and meeting forum royalty
First visit was to Greeni. Thanks for the brew and your hospitality. And apologies for Wullie and him filling in your ditch Next stop was Clifflandy (kept Wullie in the land rover this time) Whilst over in Lichfield swung by Tesco to stock up on a few odds and sods and found this in the beer aisle so was compelled to get a can Click image to enlarge Next to it was this Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Nice way to round off a reasonable day 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

Took out the folding seats and covered the whole back in 4mm silend coat. Then put in the full rear carpet set from exmoor trim. Really curious to hear the results tomorrow.
Two weeks ago i did the roof and that made a huge difference. Hopefully next weekend the front and some doors. Anybody any tip on which door will yield the biggest reduction in noise? Am assuming it will be the rear. |

Took my 1999 TD5 90 for MOT at a local village garage, passed for 6th year in a row with no advisories, just a comment from the tester that the brake servo doesn't appear to be working (not a fail apparently as brakes still work OK, albeit with a very firm push!)
Confirmed his diagnosis when I got home so ordered a new servo to be fitted next week. |

As it was relentless rain today, I went for a run out, see how the new truck performs.

The old girl definitely worked hard today. About 10 loads back and forth dragging the trailer
This weeks rain has took its toll on the lawn though Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |
