Standard to the A pillar, extended body to the rear door, then standard 110 back end. Can sit in second row seats with legs stretched out and not reach front seats. (I am 6’2”)
Seems best way of doing it, to my eyes. 80" 1948 Lightweight V8 Bowler Tomcat 130 Station wagon 90 300tdi (Santana PS10 pick up) Range Rover L322 (Ful fat) |

Looks good. Loads of room in the back for a party. The distance from the centre of the rear wheels to the xmember looks the same as a 110. 130's to me look like the distance is greater. 1999 Defender TD5 110

It was a Rapier gun tractor, with low compression V8, changed to 300tdi, but td6 May have major problems, so fitting a M57 BMW unit next month.
New body fitted, 110 with a filler section in middle. 80" 1948 Lightweight V8 Bowler Tomcat 130 Station wagon 90 300tdi (Santana PS10 pick up) Range Rover L322 (Ful fat) |

Remember a standard 130 rear tub overhangs the crossmember by about 10". |

Had a look for the steering wheel wobble on the 110.
Checked; Panhard rod bolts - all tight - no play in bushes Radius arm bolts - all tight and torque checked. Steering UJs look/feel good. All steering ball joints look/feel OK; The only one I can hear some play in is the drop arm ball joint. With my ear to it I can hear a tapping noise, so that is going to get replaced. Choices between buying the removal tool and a complete drop arm or just the drop arm ball joint - both require a session of lying on the ground. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |
