Really like the new jimny and if I could justify one I would have one. Problem is the size means it’s a small market for people who need a 4x4 but not to carry many tools tow etc where as the defender with the different sizes fitted many people and allowed me to have a vehicle that can do everything.
Cracking vehicle for what it is hope other manufacturers take note of what looks a clearly designed vehicle for its market |

A brand new green one passed me on the M1 today. I must admit it did look most agreeable.

We had a good poke around one yesterday at C&M. Actually inside the house.

I enquired yesterday with Suzuki Bolton, minimum 12 month waiting list but they’re advising 18 months to be safe.

Perhaps the Jimni is a worthy Defender replacement afterall?

Saw my first one today, yellow with a black roof like the pic above. I really liked it, looked less narrow and a bit chunkier than I expected. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Bluest, 5 mins after the photo was taken, the yellow Jimnies in the photo crossed the border into Lancashire. You weren't in a expedition equipped 110 with 2 yellow and 2 white roof mounted spots were you?

No not me,p I’m afraid, although I am close to West Yorks. The Jimmy I saw didn’t have trade plates either. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Definitely the closest we will ever get to the original Land Rover idea!
![]() However, having actually seen one up close now, they are tiny and not a real replacement, even for a 90. Not to mention if you need to tow, not that I do! Well done to Suzuki though, keeping a basic, non fashionable approach ![]() |
