Changed Keyfob battery (Puma 2015). It's a CR2032. Old battery out, new one in, all good.

Took daughter to dance class, changed another flat tyre, shopped and took a trundle across the Plain, eastern side, looking across to Sidbury Hill: -

I think mine might be the same as yours. Mine certainly past their best. Once the passenger side arm is done that's all bushes done except the A arm bushes. Got round to doing the rear trailing arm bushes today, damned good job I had allready got some replacement bolts in, they've come loose before now and it's become increasingly difficult to keep the bolt tight which clamps the bush in the clevis holder. This has resulted in the bolt wearing along with the inside of the inner sleeve of the bush. Annoying really as the old bush was still good but the centre was now oversize so out they had to come. Replaced with new bushes and bolts and it drives like a good'un now. With a slight amount of wear in the rear bushes it's frightening on how much movement there is at the wheel, just try it. Rock the wheel forward and back when parked and if all is good there should be little movement, any play in the bushes and it can move an inch or so! Think on that movement when you're driving round a bend at 60mph as the transfer box is deciding which axle it is going to send the drive to and vice versa under engine braking |

Just in time for you then JWL. The short drive i did yesterday the car felt better after doing just the drivers side.
Got the passenger side done today, took 3.5hrs all in. Thats the rears done and the front arms plus panhard rod. Ultimate test is a forest rally next weekend. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

not just today - but over the snowy weekend ...
Like many on here, I spent the time supporting the community. as part of Devon and Cornwall 4x4 response ... I helped numerous vehicles on the A30 that were stuck in the snow, supported an ambulance on a blue light run to get to a poorly child and deliver them to hospital, towed cars, campers and lorries up icy hills to help get the traffic moving. Checked numerous abandon cars for occupants and fed & watered those who needed. Helped the police in moving vehicles that had been abandoned and blocking routes, Took nurses to and from hospital and then had time to visit some of the winter wonderland high up on Dartmoor, and agin helped recover stuck vehicles from snow filled ditches and icy roads. And finally washed the thick layer of salt off the wagon to turn it back to red from the sludge brown grey that it seemed to default to this time of year ! Praising the superb planar heater that kept the 110 toasty warm during the whole event! Not seen those before, good find Suli.
Those 'Peli cases' on that site looks interesting, I've always needed something like that for a few tools to go in. Seem to end up with multiple little boxes and not a larger bug one with it all in. Mind you I only keep cheap tools in there, the basics. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |
