Bit of a deep clean ready for the winter, starting on top with a machine polish and hand seal with wax and then sealer. Will be checking underneath tomorrow

Thankyou
As I enjoy polishing the rain doesn't really bother me. I usually wash my defender a couple of times a week so it's bound to rain immediately after I've washed it If you keep on top of the polish it doesn't really get wet You'd be amazed how well any paint comes up with a bit of elbow grease and some polish Procta 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

WOW a couple of times a week Fair play.. no wonder it looks soo good.
I spent 6 hours on cleaning my car one day... 4 hours in polishing alone. It had spent 3 weeks on a garage forecourt waiting for a part, so it needed a good clean, but even after all that polishing it still didn't look as good as yours.. I have some deep scratches from the previous owners dogs... Had thought about a respray - but cant afford that anytime soon.. If you wash frequently the road grime doesn't eat away at the wax as quickly so it stays cleaner for longer
Occasionally I spend a day on it as a top up for wax and sealer to keep it looking fresh 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

I use a mixture of stuff really. I use Autofinesse snow foam, Meguiar's gold glass shampoo, Meguiar's clay bar with quick detailer as lube, then Farécla cutting compound G3 for heavy scratches (very rare in my case) and then G10 finishing compound. Then machine applied Autoglym super resin polish and finally topped off with Autoglym HD wax
Then a bit of trim treatment for the window channel plastics, door handles tyres etc a mixture of Autoglym and Meguiar's stuff 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

Looks beautiful.... Alan is getting ready for some TLC now we have moved to a new home... I've had a break from waxing (collinite) and have been using Sonax Xtreme protect and shine... it is very good on both my vehicles and long lasting.. 1993 200Tdi Defender 90
