I didn't push that hard but I'm sure I would have done if I had done a couple more laps

very wise that, I have seen a fare few videos of people going for it and then smashing the car up. Plus its expensive to be recovered too! Then the hassle of bring it back to the uk, telling the insurance that you had a prang etc. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Nothing much to report on the defender. Done around 2,000 miles since getting the head sorted a couple of weeks ago all seems good. No leaks and the coolant level has stayed bang on

As a side note, there is another video of me on the Nürburg Ring

)

Big props for taking it to the 'ring. Looked fairly composed around the corners too. You could have used a bit more track though. Did you get any times?

Yeah it handles pretty well really.

I could have used a lot more track but normal track day rules don't apply and Germans in their 911 GT3RSs come up and pass very quickly.

The closing speed is incredibly fast. They will dive up the inside as well so I mostly kept to the right hand side of the track (unless there was nothing at all in my mirrors) As there is no insurance on the Nürburg Ring I wanted to keep well out of their way

I did it in just over 11 minutes. If I'd had track day insurance then I'd have pushed much harder.

Also I only did one lap. Didn't want to push my luck
