Refilled my Header tank with some Organic antifeeze, couple of weeks ago fan wouldn't turn off, Must have been bone dry, because i filled it up to the Cold level with 2 litres, took it for a drive, made a gurgling sound when i took a break from driving, now about 1.5cm below cold line.
![]() Click image to enlarge Also just some general tidying. Sick of having this thing hitting the roof when i go over speedbumps, so attached it to the upward handle on my rear door. ![]() Click image to enlarge I also Practiced a wheel change as its something I've not done before, train hard fight easy and that. I couldn't even get the locking cap covers off with Wheel change part no.1 is it possible they're rusted in place, or am i doing something wrong? as i pull the cap it only moves about half a mil or so. Regardless I persisted and attempted to use the abomination type jack. it got about 80% through the lifting thread before it came flying out and flew a good 5 foot out the front lifting point. Lucinda landed with a bang ( i had a vietnam war flashback and now have PTSD(my neighbor though i discharged one of my rifles)), damaged my wraparound A bar mount and tore it from the mounting. Needless to say i'm going to procure a better jack. it turns out that i do not have the lifting jack extension. Regardless this jack is a piece of S*** piece. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge I think the Lifting point is actually warped now. Oslblue - That jack is downright dangerous regardless of safe working practices it's not fit for purpose.
I have a nice special edition Hi Lift jack but I also don't have the adaptor yet. The OE bottle jack does pretty well for many things also. ![]() ⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Started planning how/where to fit a Teal hand wash sink to the rear of the 110. After a bit of pondering. got some drawings down on paper and left them with the metal fab place to cut bits/drill and weld to size. 1999 Defender TD5 110
