Went to a local car show on Sunday and this little beauty was there.

Started using my 90 as a daily driver / station hack. I will discover in about 20 minutes whether it is still where I left it at the station.

Today I swore a lot as the bolts from luggage rail to rack are stainless steel. They’ve reacted against the ally and seized in. I had to drill them all out.

I despise stainless steel fasteners with a vengeance for this reason and really don't understand why anyone would choose them over BZP or ZP&P steel. I have spent days trying to rid my Pattiot rack of SS. Hateful things! |

Thanks Clayton Yeah, she fired up a dream and shunted 4 trailers about last night as sweet as a nut, I forgot how good D1's are for reversing a trailer, makes me want another every time I try back a trailer into a tight place with the 110 I wish I was in a D1, the best tow vehicle ever Blackwolf, same here, I have a patriot, I still have the n/s luggage rail to re fit, there is still thread of stainless bolt in the ally plats, I either drill them out entirely and nut and bolt them, or I go buy a fancy stud extractor kit, if suppose I could drill a 6.5mm and try tap them out so they're threaded again as I think a 7mm would muller it. either way it's stressing me out! |

I see not reason for anything on the Patriot rack to be tapped into the aluminium. Almost all my fasterners are now nut 'n' bolt and 8.8 BZP. Much better!
