taken from dvla website , light and seal are now major defects , blimey

This as always is a welcome change to the mint ground up rebuilds which I love ,to know you are going to throw this in the mud makes it all the more special .Here's my TDi 200 a few years ago.

And we off , screen out , screen frame in , need to drill the bottom of the frame to locate it onto the defender bulkhead pins , then i’ll Work out where to cut the roof to drop down on to the flat series screen , but before all that , the bulkhead has a hole in it , now there’s a surprise

Have you tried to source a series pick up roof? That would fit more easily with the windscreen. Trying to reprofile and keep waterproof the defender roof will be quite a task. 1995 Defender 110 CSW

3 hours of work done , drilled the frame to drop it onto the pins , and then go round n round n round making all the gaps look half good , need to make some plates to hold the bottom of the screen , then it’s shut the doors n fold the roof , my daughter says leave the roof and go rag top , so might even go that route , in the mean time , i’ll keep plodding along , if a series roof appears , I may grab it . As you can tell , it did look smart with the roof off . Anyways don’t look much different , but lots done

cheers fella , its a new day and i realise i need the hardtop series roof , as its flat as i want , and not the rounded pick up version , yep i`ll have to cut it to suit the rear bulkhead glass bit , and on the way to work , i pass a ragtop version , hmmmmmm they do look good . thats the trouble with these , you can have so many versions , i did spot on the searching web , a series with a ply roof , now that would be easier , make a metal frame to hold the thing square , tiled , or thatched roof at that , yee harr
