So as a few have said, the later models don't have it, I have 13 pin electrics that I wired up but don't remember seeing a spare wire, I've removed and broken a few plastic screw things but I can get those from halfords. My question is this, are there any other points in the rear where it's just a plug and play piece for aux? I bought a ford aux socket as it matches up perfectly but I now don't have the wire...
I can see a purple under the wheel arch from my 13pin electrics (photo) being utilised... So I'm stuck

Hi all.
I have 2015 110 Heritage and after reading whole thread could not figure how to bring purple and ground wire from the place in the picture ( from behind rear right wheel ) to the space behind speakers. Could someone explain please?
Thank you, qwert.

This is an awesome thread. But I'm still confused on where to find the mystery wire on my 2013sw. Can anyone who did it let me know. I got more confused reading the 9 pages on info. Thx!

any reason why I couldn't use this for dual functionality? Is from flatdog and would also provide usb charging at the rear.

Power wise there is no reason, just piggy back it off the one feed. You'll just need to find somewhere to physically mount it Thumbs Up My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html

Sorry to pull up an old thread! I am looking to do this in my 2011 110 double cab pick up. Will this purple wire be there in mine? If so where??
I am looking to be able to power a small fridge and I also need somewhere to plug in a trickle charge solar panel, needs to be in a permanent live.
Thanks in advance for any help Cool

Here’s mine. Twin 12v accessory sockets. Both running off the auxiliary battery. One is permanent live and the other ignition live.

Also completed today, ply lining panels wrapped with black trim velour.

Installed a rear power point in my 2011MY USW XS today but added a relay to ensure that power is turned off with the ignition.

A cool box left running overnight would leave me stranded with a flat battery, and I know that it probably would happen Whistle

There are lots of pics above of the power point.

This is what I found behind the speaker

Purple wire runs to the power in relay terminal, + terminal of power point is fed from the power out relay terminal.

Earth for both the relay and power point taken from black wire attached to L shaped connector with the purple wire.

The ignition live feed to trigger the relay was picked up from this connector for the rear wash wipe.
