Also interested to hear any reviews on their chassis and bulkheads. They seem to be saying all the right things

Gutted that I've just bought a knackered old TD5 bulkhead to be refurbed and galvanised. If I'd seen these a week earlier...
Interested to hear anyone's experience though. |

Just ordered a 300tdi chassis and bulkhead from them. I will of course let you know if it's any good when I get it (said lead time of about 5 or 6 weeks) Matt.

Great, thanks, cash flow has me torn between repairing and replacing, but galvanised is defo the way to go. Looking forward to hearing more about these shielder products. 2006 TD5110 station wagon

were all waiting to see one at a show or hear from somebody that bought one and has fitted it.
cheaper than rebuilding an old one for sure if they are any good and have all the holes and bits in the right places. |

The windscreen looks like it will be fun to fit, the holes for the screen brackets look well off.

It's missing the double skin strengthening plates for the pedal boxes and chassis to bulkhead brackets in this pic.

I hope they'll be at Kelmarsh this weekend, so some of you guys can assess their suitability on behalf of those of us less fortunate, who cannot make it to the show. 2006 TD5110 station wagon

They're not on the published exhibitors list for the show this weekend. If they do happen to make a late entry I would very much appreciate some photos and feedback on their galv bulkheads.
Thanks in advance. 2006 TD5110 station wagon 1995 300Tdi 90 truck cab 1989 90 hard top with 200 tdi 1983 110 hard top 1983 110 Hi cap 1954 107 pick up |

A friend of mine from the US (now lives in the UK) has a small garage business rebuilding and galvanizing bulkheads (and starting to do door frames sometime)
At the moment he only has LHD ones, will be starting RHD in the near future. Has proper beeft bent ujp footwells welded back in place. He started doing it after seeing what a god awful job Shielder were doing. As soon as I get the nod I'll pass on the contact details. |
