Well not my wagon but one of the fleet, what started as a simple job to remove the hub and cheaply the bearings took a fun turn when the previous person to work on it had rectified the sheared bolt with the aid of super glue
So out with the heat and drill: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Luckily it came out without too much fuss, leave it to soak in brake fluid whilst I had a coffee, heat up, drill down 1/4 inch then use some reverse drill bits So don’t always believe fleet vehicles are the perfectly maintained vehicles sellers tell you. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |

Not my Defender but related...
Had a good look through the forum and smiled from ear to ear - I needed cheering up. Have emailed the Storage company looking after my girl and asked for an update with a view of going to see her soon. Still no update as to when she can move back in with me, I have a horrible feeling she will need some serious bodywork before she can get back on the road so anybody got any experience with spraying SP galvenised doors? Hi Shaggy,
Long time no hear! Paint this on the bare galv... https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/ac...amp;adurl= Once that’s dulled your galv so paint can get a good key, use a decent etch primer, then paint as normal. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Busy couple of days for me!!
Mono steering wheel, quick release and Optimill security cover installed. Rear view camera installed. Soundproofing fitted. 12v Aux and double USB fitted to the rear of the cubby box. Waterproof twin 12v Aux wired into the rear bed area. Double din conversion tidied up, but sadly not fitting 100% due to the metal bar in the bulkhead area! Still miles better than the single din unit though! found the clutch peddle hitting the floor when leaving the M5 today on my way to pick up some friends for a weekend away ....
Landrover assist were awesome and very helpful - got the 110 to the local main dealers but then spent a long day at Taunton landrover waiting for a replacement car to arrive so as I could leave my pride and joy there for repair of the break cylinder ! supplied me with a brand new Disco Sport that matched my 110 colours exactly ! Oh yes still lurking
Still having some difficulties but I'm hoping things will fall into place soon. As for the doors I'm not sure the Link worked Ian but I think I know the stuff you mean. Just need some time to do it! Land Rover/Spanner therapy sessions should be available on the NHS Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Harry.o The loud area has Brenna Rhino Lined. I have painted the front bumper with raptor type paint and had a great finish. It’s great for the load area as it’s so hard wearing.
