Hi CC
I am in Guildford if you want to come over and see the set up i have. At the most basic the postive and negative wires from the winch can go straight to the battery, there is an earth on the bottom of the winch motor that should be earthed to the chassis. A cut out switch within arms length is a must for safety reasons. This is positioned on the positive near to the battery but again so that you can reach it from where you are seated. I have the solenoid under the bonnet with a feed to the front wing for the remote which in turn is split so that i also have controls on the front of the cubby box. The only fuse that i have is for the split charge system not for the winch, this is rated at 150 amps. My car is a TD5 not a puma. I am sure that someone has posted a picture of the solenoid under the bonnet near the back. My wich is a warn 9.5xp Send me a pm if you want to come over Mark |
