I must be mad buying another one as I am fighting with the dealer over the rust on my SVX as they and LR will not cover it under warranty but that is another long rant. Apparently corrosion is not covered, JOKE bet it will be !!!

So the Boost alloys are soft as sh!te and it appears the SVX wheels are not much better which I understand are basically same as the optional 'upgrade' from Boosts.

ZUs look more attractive by the day

Stunning 110 though Bow down

The harsh chemicals that are used to clean cars and wheels don't help - takes the mud off but strips off any protective layer and corrodes anything left unprotected. See what simple Fairy liquid will do to your windscreen wipers in no time at all Shocked

Go for the gentler products that are kinder to your hands as well Rolling with laughter

I don't use detergents very often, just wash off with water most of the time - no wonder I stink Laughing

hi CR awesome truck
just a couple of questions if I may. Having looked at a few ropey pre Jul 08 examples I'm veering towards new but can't get past the 2k tax disc thing our lovely Green Party brought in (bless their f*** hearts !) Reading your posts has given me a perhaps naive glimmer of hope that there might be a way around this. I also want a 7 seat SW but am not business registered or self employed. Despite the N1 classification does this mean I will still be paying the full wack as per passenger vehicles or not. You've obviously done the research and got through the usual civil service red tape Censored in order to fight your case.

Also that's one hell of a registration you've got. Can a certain number be pre - ordered. I'm guessing it wasn't pot luck that you ended up with all the ones !
Good luck with the new motor !

RUST.

The SVX has rust on all the roll cage bolts, the mud flap hangers, the chassis, the rear step bumper, the bolts and hangers have already been replaced once as have the mirror arms under warranty. The dealer is doing them again as goodwill !!!! and
also replacing the step bumper. 3 of the step bumpers have come in damaged for the 110 so have not been fitted.

I have yet to resolve the chassis rust, the top surface of the decals is starting to come off from the layer with the
double sided tape.

The SVX Wheels are 100% perfect after 30k KM.

El Doc

The 110 is not a SVX it is a standard 110 with bits added, my SVX is a 90 soft top.

Only the UK cars got a number in Ireland there are about 5 90 SVX soft-tops 2 90 SVX estates and 1 110 SVX estate

do you see many defenders at home ?

Cheers

CR

Hi CR,

Thanks for write, your 110 have a great tune up, when I saw the picture again I can check that is not a SVX because the rear lights, you car looks awesome.

Here in Home we can see few Defenderīs not too much and is easy to find some Landy series I,II and III still running.

I would like to establish contact with somebody in UK to obtain the Info here in my country the dealer only import 2 SVX 1 90 and mine 110, I just check in Topix and I obtain the date when it was made and the dealer code.

Best, Thumbs Up El Doc
