Well I didn't actually drive it but fitted a pair of Safari Equip rear Bumperettes. Fitted some to my 110SW several years ago and this time to the 90, still the same good quality

Replaced the last remaining stainless screw and nut - #54/54 - by genuine mild steel version, completing the reverse modification. Happy that's all done now.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Went to Bitterly point to point. Lost £5 on one race, won £10 on another and got mugged by the kids for bouncy castle / ice creams etc. The Heritage clocked up the 4000m mark 😁

Fitted the door opener thingy I bought off a forum member, Our drive is on an angle and regularly the door keeps shutting on its own at you empty / fill car.
Few things I notice from this kit.. 1) Easy to fit (10 mins) and that was walking back and too garage to get tools. 2) Does not open straight away fully, so if parked next to a post or another car it will not just extend fully. 3) Well made. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Allows you to open door this far before the strut starts wanting to open. Click image to enlarge The only thing I have noticed is the door requires 'even' more push to close, but given neither child or my wife seem to be able to use the boot handle and open or close the current set up It will only be myself using it So far so good... |

Got half of the new split charge and auxillary system wiring fitted under the passenger seat.
It's going to be tighter than I had hoped but fingers crossed it will all work. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper. Wide Track Sankey- In bits- Gone to a new home M0XQS |

Installed new seats today. From this:
Click image to enlarge to this: Click image to enlarge Now as they don't come cheap, I want to protect the seats with a cover - but the cover has to have a good fit. I've aready been searching the internet, but have not found something suitable yet. Does anyone know a source for a good fitting cover for Recaro Cross Sportster CS seats? Vincent. You're in luck. I've just bought myself some.
Capital Seating are the ones to buy. I have Recaro CS's too in my Focus https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271955646937 |
