Thing is im really not a fan of Wolf mirror arms and big head mirrors. I have a set of towing mirrors I just wondered if I could get away without them Whistle 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

If you can see down the sides of the trailer then surely you don't need them?

Well I can see down the sides of the 110 and see all corners of the trailer so I'd have thought I'd be ok Thumbs Up

Well I've had a change of heart and put the towing mirrors on, for the sake of 5 minutes fitting them I thought I may as well Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Great looking truck, can you tell me are the twisted wheels you have offset Et0 or Et10 ? as the stance of your truck looks perfect. Plus I presume you get reasonable traction from the Hankook Ventus ST in light off road stuff, as I was thinking of these tyres myself as mines used mostly for road and occasionally light off road stuff.

Thank you very much Bow down

The wheels are et10 with 285 60 r18 tyres, they're actually VBS nemesis wheels which look very similar to the twisted wheels but have a shallower dish.

The tyres are excellent. I have run BFGoodrich all terrains for the last 50k miles or so and these compare very well off road and are leaps and bounds ahead on road.

I would highly recommend them Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Also my defender passed it's MOT yesterday with one advisory which was excessive handbrake travel. Another job for the ramp Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

That's good to hear about the Hankooks Ventus (was going to get the cooper Zeon Ltz's but thought a better road bias tyre would be more suitable).
Yes your truck sits really well, looks fantastic.
I've just had the Alive suspension set up and stage 2/3 tuning initial impression is really good but it's difficult to assess as my truck still has the horrendous Insa turbo ST off road tyres on it (bought it with them on), bloody terrible on road (sounds like you've got a helicopter following you!!
Apologies for my ignorance regarding wheel off sets but is it correct that the ET0 would sit slightly further out than an ET10 and look slightly more aggressive?

By the way I noticed you've used Ian at IRB I've tried to get hold of him but have never been able to, what's the best way to contact him?

Cheers Stu

Hi Stu,

Yeah the et10 sits 10mm further in than an et0. The downside with et0 is you'll have to run norrower tyres so they didn't stick out past the arches. 285s on et10 is bang on the limit. Mine just passed it's mot with them on and I even pointed them out to the tester. He said mine were fine but you wouldn't want them out any further Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
