Signalling engineer engineer on the railway, currently leading the engineering assurance on the Digital Rail Programme.
A far cry from what I set out as, a HGV and PSV mechanic! Unfortunately now my role is desk based so I don't get out on to the infrastructure and I do miss that. The railway is a great engineering industry that is undersold, for example did you know Network Rail builds the highest numbers of bridges of any company in europe and likely the world? For me, I Currently do CNC machining at a Waterjet Cutting Firm in Kent. Not too interesting but what we cut goes all over the place and goes into all sorts of things. Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Unfortunately my lips are tightly sealed and I rather enjoy my job; plus my wife is due in less than 3 weeks; and would be good to come back to a job after paternity leave. I even kept the Velar's name from her till the announcement - that took some going. I am not personally working on it anyway and don't actually know anything about it. Probably safer that way, wouldn't want to be voicing opinions, as a traditional Defender fan, in front of the wrong programme director!
