It's currently in the body shop, don't panic, just removing the rear light guards. Everything is still 100%, using it as my daily for all sorts. Interior is complete, seats are still to be re trimmed but leaving that for the summer. However, I may put it up for sale Andy

Don't know, think it just took it out of me! Would consider a G63. Andy

Trouble is with the G63 its pretty much all done?
What ca you change? I'm pretty sure that's why the defender is so good you can change bits easily? I love the G class, however oddly my wife does not like them? We go to the Geneva show every year and they still look great, I guess you could go the Brabus route... but start modding to those prices and yours will seem very cheap... |

Seen some sense and not selling up. Just collected it from my mates boby shop after being away falling over in the snow the past week. Had the rear light guards removed, new rivets fitted and the complete back end painted.

Just stunning! What a transformation through this thread from standard to a stunning adventure/overlander to stripped back sheer performer! Still dying to see some videos and the interior.
Great work Andy! Can't tell you how much I've enjoyed seeing all the developments and really very pleased you're not selling! Probably a bit late (but still could) but wouldn't a roof box be more useful? I guess it depend what you need to carry James MY2012 110 2.2TDCi XS SW Orkney Grey - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic43410.html MY1990 110 200TDi SW beautifully faded Portofino Red - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post743641.html#743641 MY1984 90 V8 Slate Grey - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post744557.html#744557 Instagram @suffolk_rovers Last edited by JOW240725 on 21st Feb 2017 4:20pm. Andy, noticed your rear mudflaps new position, interesting. All the way to the rear like on a 90 but really low down now. Surely must be a side effect of the new exhaust set up. But guess does not help them to do their job that far from the rear wheels. no difference to be honest but i am not a huge fan of the flaps right back there, dont like the big gap... plan to get a new SS system made up so i will likely revert back to the factory look. Andy

Pete Bell has the flaps right on the back, not sure why, but guess to stop the flap wearing on tyre when towing issue?

I think it's a styling choice, trying to be a bit different. The issue of the flap wearing on the tyre when towing only really affects 90's. Darren
