Dixon Bate and Bradley (which was by then part of DB) were taken over by ALKO last year, as I found out when I tried to get spares for a Bradley hydraulic-damped ex-military trailer coupling.

Sadly it seems that in the course of the take over everyone who knew anything about Bradley or DB products left the company! The people who responded to my enquiries initially denied that the coupling existed, then denied it was made by Bradley, and then when confronted with photographic evidence of both its existence and a makers plate, serial number, NSN, etc simply said they knew nothing about these couplings and didn't support them.

It was not a good customer experience and disappointed me considerably! Big Cry

Westfalia.

The bolt holes I have used in the photo below are approximately 83mm width and 55mm vertical. It fitted my Masai rear step (spacing 90mm/56mm) without modification, as the bolts thinner than the bore of the step holes. The rear spreader plate needed a slight chamfer on one edge, as the Masai step holes are slightly higher than the OEM step. I'm in the process of moving it from the Masai step on the 110 to the OEM step on the 90; I'll post up the finished ball height once it's refitted.

Westfalia were the inventors of the towball for cars.

The Nakatanenga dropped towball is made by Westfallia and is available in the UK here

Please note that if fitting this to a non genuine NAS step that the back plate may need altering. Different aftermarket manufacturers of NAS steps use varying different methods of strengthening/bracing the middle of their NAS steps
