Fitted a set of Gwyn Lewis front wheel arch mudshields, mega expensive for what you actually get but hopefully they will stop some of the crap going on the outriggers etc. Cheers Ian

I'm a long distance from both of mine however a lack of things to spend cash on means my rather large eBay basket is very close to being bought with many items for the project. This of course rides on me Not buying a rather nice V8 110 that is currently on eBay even if I do have swmbo's permission oh decisions decisions. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Well, yesterday:-
Passed through 30,000 miles And then, just afterwards, on a narrow humped-backed bridge[1], a chap coming the other way in a pseudo 4x4 thing reduced his wing mirror to a pile of plastic bits and some shattered glass by hitting Gracies offside mirror. I gently pushed Gracies offside mirror back out - no damage at all. The chap did stop and apologise "I misjudged that, sorry", he said. Er, going over a blind, one-car width humped-back bridge at 30mph is more than just misjudging things, but hey-ho, I reckon he has a sizeable bill for his mirror and possibly dented door. He won't do that again soon... [1] The one by the Villa training ground at Bodymoor Heath, for any locals out there... Dave Green Goddess - 1998 Defender 110 300tdi |

Good move Hairy Dan, I have fitted them front and back and very pleased with the difference they make even though they are a little expensive. Steve |

I think these will be the next mod on the list for me, although I may have to defer to the more experience users (HairySteve) for fitting advice 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

Fitted a new rear work light when I got home from work. I've had it knocking round the garage for 12 months or so.
Tomorrow's job is to wire it in to a switch and reverse light Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Down in Cornwall on holiday for a week visiting lots of old haunts and friends. Today the 110 took us on a tour around the Lizard, seen here at Porthoustock.
Click image to enlarge On the way down from Chester on Saturday, the wiper park switch failed meaning the wipers would not turn off. Purchased a new one at Steve Toyers and went to a friends to borrow some Torx bits to undo the dashboard to get at it... Not as bad as you think to do!
