How about fitting this Glyn. Whistle

That is who makes it Cool. I have seen these before but cant be bothered paying £300 for something I could make with 2 titanium pins, 4 washers and 4 R clips. The roll bar wouldn't be on often- more for the trips back to UK once maybe twice a year Thumbs Up..... then again with that frequency I might just take it off/ put it on when I want to.

Or have a word with Gwyn, get him to machine one of his sumo bars and then make quick release brackets.

this might be of interest too, but Gwyn also says that Pumas NEED a wading kit if in water of any depth, but that the gearbox breather is tricky due to its location.

Yep, tried to get that extended, but you can only get there by dropping the gearbox.

There are 3 breather pipes that terminate into the engine bay, how many do you have?

I also have 3. Myself and the mechanic traced all to the front diff, back diff and transfer box. The gearbox one terminates somewhere on the bellhousing, so to extend it to the engine bay involves dropping the gearbox Confused

I have four-the extra one is the extended breather from the fuel tank.An extended breather for the gearbox would seem like a sensible thing to have. Pity the boys at Solihull did not do it for us. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Would it be possible to reach it by removing the floor panels? 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

You need to remove the carpet or whatever you have then the gearshift knob, rubber gaiter and about 10 screws. You will have plenty of room to grab the breather pipe. Just pull it from the bellhouse (not from the gearbox!). I posted a pic some weeks ago where you can spot the pipe. Puma 110" SW

Hi Mike

I'm between Preston and Blackpool - near Elswick. Whereabouts are you?

I love Gatescarth, I try and drive it every year. I'm down for June this year.

Fancy meeting to say hello?

Stephen
