I have seen this happen with a failed park switch in the past, the contacts which drive the motor to the park position after the stalk switch has been set to 'off' are failing to open, so the 'park' feed is permanently live.
If the plastic cam follower peg that is pushed by the cam on the gearwheel to open the contacts has worn excessively it can cause this effect, or if the contacts themselves are faulty, or the switch is simply full of crud. |

I have a similar problem with mine it starts and turns off in a random position, the timed position works likes it on.
My problem started when someone disconected all the wires behind the switch and then "try" to connect them in the right position. Augusto Defender 110 TD5 2001 Discovery 4 TDV6 |
