If you want a bolt on one, have a word with Clive at Blacksheep. Not sure if he is still on here (pressbrake was is username). He has some photos of his on his facebook page. Look good any will do the job, wouldn't trust some of the cheap ones.

Mmm, maybe that's the way to go - I do like the extended tow ball option I use though to get the bike carrier around the spare wheel. The Dixon ball plate looks like a v strong option however.

If it's all rated the same then I can't see any reason not to use both.
If you did you'd need to use it I would be careful that your pull is not at an angle however. Or just un-bolt, 5min job providing you don't swap ever week or so. I used mine to pull out a fully loaded van before, no problem at all. And of course I tow using the ball too. Attachment wise, it's just slipping the pin out and replacing, couldn't be easier. |

That does look like a tempting route. I would probably ditch the extender I currently have on though (holding the weight of a bike is one thing, but recovering something with the extender acting as a big lever would make me nervous). ![]() |

I know this has come up before, but is that stainless hardware bolting the NAS step to the crossmember?
