Hahaha brilliant, so it's ok as long as it's not too hot and not too cold!

So I had the appraisal today. The guys at Keith Gott were brilliant and have given me a list of areas that need some attention:
Handbrake lever not returning – Replace cable Off side door hinges worn – Replace hinges Off side swivel leaking – Overhaul swivel fitting new housing, seals and gaskets Off side trailing arm bent – Replace arm Rear propshaft rear universal joint worn – Replace joint Rear brake discs worn but pads satisfactory – Replace discs and pads when the pads are worn out Front brake discs worn but pads satisfactory – Replace discs and pads when the pads are worn out Rear axle half shafts and flanges worn – Replace shafts and flanges Rear damper bushes worn - Replace bushes Tow bar removed and electrics cable tied to the underside of the vehicle Off side front hub cap missing – Fit new cap Fuel pump becoming noisy – Customer to monitor, replacement of the fuel pump would cost Steering wanders – Swap tyres and re-test The question is now what order to to these in, I can't afford all of it at once so I am thinking of taking care of the bits to get it through the MOT first. |

So I went and collected my new wheels and tyres yesterday and managed to get the fitted before the rain set in. Completely transformed how the car drives from the insa turbos before.

Looks excellent with those wolfs! Best wheels for a Defender with a white roof IMO, they match really well! Matt.

I spent yesterday doing a bit of tarting up, going round painting all the rusty bolts and scrubbed the head lining ( the previous owner was a smoker). I will take some pics tomorrow and get them up.

My next plan is to add one of these to the rear:
Click image to enlarge 2 questions; 1: how do I know what number to have engraved? 2: can you get one for the front like on the adventure editions? |
