Yes mate,

Are you based around Lisburn by any chance?
I have a feeling I've seen your Landy about the place. Fantastic in the flesh if it is yours. Would love the time, money and knowledge to get mine to that standard! |

Just followed your thread on all your modifications and i have to say it´s pretty cool what you have done and how perfect any approach was. Some stuff is a style question and what you prefer, but respect!
to give you 2 more ideas that i have not seen here..... after a quite a bit of effort i created an FOB key for after 2013 models (i could not find this after hours on google...), which i wanna share with you. i also installed an in dash mounted HUD display on mine... but have to take some pictures once the sun is out.... here goes the key... let me know what you think... Looks like to answer on PM`s you need 3 posts here. No problem to bug you all with some more mods to be able to answer...
Having no glove box sucks. so i ordered the Puma Glove box from http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/puma-glovebox.html Nice piece but somehow not the look & feel i wanted. as i never worked with leather and don´t know where to get it, i put some stuff in regular glove boxes have, here is the result and the steps to get to it. was just another 10 bucks extra and 2h of work to get this nice result. first try... While looking for some better looking Mirrors i found some black covers on ebay for 30 bucks, which i have now. Was a bitch to put them on, but finally figured it.
As i´m always looking for upgrades i thought about adding some turnlights to the mirrors, but have not found the right style so far. does anyone have an idea how you could do better then this or did someone do the job already. would need some inspiration to built on. here is the only thing i found. as i want to put upgrade mine to headed ones, i would do it at the same time with the wiring for the heater.... any ideas welcome and sorry if i post this in the area. i´m new here and should after this post finally have the chance to answer scott on his pm. |

You have nice touches there and enough ideas to start your own thread.
On the wing mirror front, some have changed to a later style G-wagon mirror, heated with built in indicators, but it is very much a personal preference item. Click image to enlarge And here for a members install. http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic26889....des+mirror |

thx @stiff1 for your comment. for sure at somepoint it want to start my own topic once i have more time to work on the defender.
i thought about that G-Wagon mirror and to convert it to the defender, but the price is pretty right up there. found another vs. at hoefele but with not indicator in it. http://hofele.com/en/produkte/land_rover_j...fender.pdf they have some cool stuff, but the pricing is from mars. so i rather built custom stuff myself. safe money for more parts and have some fun having a one off... what are your moods? |
