I have a Scangauge II plugged in but to do so I had to disconnect the OBD socket from it's holder in the fuse bay below the steering wheel, and feed it into the Speaker bay alongside to plu the Scangauge plug in as you cannot close the Fuse bay cover otherwise.
I want to make a new plug using the pcb board from another OBD plug, but am unable to determine which coloured wires go to which pins as the wires on the original Scangauge lead are embedded in resin. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the Scangauge lead that shows which colour goes to which pin on the OBD Plug?? Any help much appreciated 
This would allow the OBD socket to remain in it's proper position, the New plug could then be easily removed when the Land Rover Dealer has to plug in to the Diagnostics to update software etc: |

Because the only place you can get access to it is through the speaker side NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY |

Firstly, to mse, it doesn't matter which side you run it through, if using the original scangauge plug then you have to re-locate the OBD socket if you want the Fuse cover to close.
Secondly, to Lorryman100, I had seen that thread and was waiting for any developments as regards Shax's pdf file, but his PC problems don't seem to have been resolved, and I have all the bits ready and was itching to have a go. Cut the plastic cover off the Scangauge plug today and found the wires embedded in a resin block and cannot see which ones are soldered to which pin. Just wondered if anyone had done a similar job and would know the colour coding/pin number. |

I did buy an additional cable so I could cut it and do exactly what shax did, but did not bother once i found his post. And after reading your comment about the resin block I'm glad I didnt  Anybody interested in a spare scanguage cable  |

I haven't seen the other post but I am guessing you are trying to make it so that the Scangauge doesn't take up the only OBD port therefore having to take the speaker out every time?

Have also ordered the splitter cable. I also had a second cable for the Scangauge - useful for using the gauge on another vehicle without having to remove the original wiring each time. Anyway. Problem now solved thanks to Glyn. |

take care with that cable !

Scangauge is Read-Only, and anyway you can disconnect the lead from the back of the Display so the lead is not connected. That enables the Land Rover dealer to connect his Diagnostic computer easily, without the problem of having to remove the Speaker to disconnect the Scangauge OBD plug from the vehicles OBD socket, in case the Dealer has problems finding the socket in it's new position.

My turbogauge can erease faults : therefore it can send something to the ecu I guess Discovery 4 SDV6 Landmark
