Canada is an amazing place! 
Truck looking very cool now... I would defy do the roof soundproofing if you have removed all the trims already! You will quickly develop a knack for removing the firtrees without damage too! I have not done my roof yet... have to finish the 'floor' area first...

 I wish they would do one for the edge where you get in, mines wearing out, will have to find something soon, apart from Duck tape

Nice one Clayton although sorry to hear about the other edges wearing. And I never understate the many uses for Duck tape mate, and I'm sure there's many a early model Defender being held together by it
 Let me know if you find a similar solution to the corner protectors as I'm sure mine will start to wear in time also.
So spent all day in incredible heat getting the roof Dynamatted  they say it was only 33 degrees C but inside with no roof lining it felt like hell  Certainly not a job I recommend for one person but got it done with only a few minor issues.
Firstly the lining fir trees unlike the side trim pieces are cursed by Satan himself as I managed to kill about 5 by ripping the heads off. I swear they were banged in by the Hulk after he was told by Black Widow that she wanted to see other Super Hero's. Even after I managed to get the lining sections out and the remains of the headless trees were mocking me from the roof. It still took me completely hanging off them with all my body weight and some vice-grips to get them out 
Then came the rear-view mirror mount screws which all spun in the recess and took forever to get out with some fencing wire. And finally managed to short out the interior light fuse which also looks after the clock and radio 
But it's mostly back together The Dynamat Lite is about the third of the thickness of the Resomat and easier to mold and work with in general but I don't think it does the job quiet as well.
Sadly I've got some landscaping to do for the in laws tomorrow so might not get anything thing else finished this weekend. Got some nice updates coming up soon though :thumbsup: Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

TOP job mate!
I can only begin to image how difficult doing this by yourself would have been! How many pieces are still stuck to your forehead!  I had my trims off when I was fitting my rear Scenelite but wimped out dropping the roof lining. I am sure it will be a job fir the future however! 
Perhaps now also install some of the dyna??? heat insulation stuff as well!!! Cheers, Pete YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Glad it's all over for now I can tell you!
I think you're bang on as I don't think it did much for heat insulation like the box said  Pretty warm to the touch but a very minor improvement over the bare aluminum in the direct sunlight. I actually called Clarke Rubber to see if they had any open celled foam with an adhesive back but no luck, so just put it all back together and got stuck into a few cold CC and drys on ice I may have another crack in the very distant future, like around July next year
If you're ever up in these parts mate I'd be happy to give you a hand with yours, although after seeing the clinic you put on with back of your 90 I think you might have things covered bud

Quick product review from MUD UK. Got some interior LED lights
I've been a bit dubious lately when I'm told it's an easy plug and play solution but these were spot on
All the wires are perfectly colour coded to the factory lights Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge These pics aren't a good comparison but the LED's are very bright and seem to define things in the cabin really well. I'll get some better shots later and with the red LED's also.
All in all a quality addition to R2 and I'm looking forward to more easily seeing and gabbing stuff from the fridge at night whilst camping. Also fitted the wiring plugs to the stop and reversing LED's
The revering lamp works a treat but the stop isn't. A few days ago the trailer warning light popped up on the dash so I guess that was the reason why. I checked the fuse but it was fine so connected the factory light again and still nothing so may be a wiring problem that I'll get looked at by LRA soon. Cheers. Good stuff Pete, I think they'll be a great addition to your little green machine
The brightness of the white LED does take some getting used to not looking directly into the blinding light The light is directed down though so no real problem there.
I also got a set of MUD's new stick-on sun visor vanity mirrors which my lovely fiance is over the moon about
Will pop those on soon but my priority this weekend is the daunting task of drilling in the side tree bars to each side of R2. Clayton yes mate added some solder as well just in case

Not quite what I planned to get done today but at least knocked over a few things that have been bugging me for a while.
First up is a makeshift case for my Clutch Claw and steering wheel lock. These just used to be shoved somewhere in the back and not really safe in the event of an accident, so modified an old single burner propane stove case. They've recently been deemed unsafe in OZ so made the most of plastic case and a bit of packing foam to stop any rattling.
I can strap it all down down securely now
Next up is a fire extinguisher which I secured to the feet of the rear seats
