Hi all,
I'm considering taking the plunge and buying an SVX grill set however I have a modified a bar on the front of my defender which sits a bit closer to my standard non-aircon grill. Would someone with an SVX grille be so kind as to measure how much it protrudes past the leading edge of the bonnet to see if I can get it to fit? Thanks in advance! Here's the KBX 'projection' figure...80 mm Not what your looking for exactly but while talking to an Urban Truck owner with a SVX Grill I noticed that they are very similar...wait until you get someone to confirm how close. When you say 'modified a bar' any pictures...

Thanks for the help so far guys. I can't see it sticking out much more than an air con grill with a kbx on but will await confirmation.
When I say modified a bar all I mean is that I chopped some of the plastic out of the back of a plastic a bar so that it would fit closer to the grill. You could park a bus in the gap between grill and a bar on a non-aircon truck. I didn't have any of the original mounting brackets so I was making those up from scratch anyway. Worst case scenario I could always make up a spacer to push the a bar back out again to give room for the grill. Tom @tditomprice 100” Defender Hybrid 2010 Alaska White 90 HT |
