Who wants a Nanocom Evolution
Asked Peter at Nakatanenga if he would do a deal on the nanocom units. And as he has done the deal on being a site sponsor, so has come back with the following offer:

Nanocom Evolution with either TD5 / Puma pack eu 300 (about £256.00). Full pack Disco/TD5/Puma eu 385. (about £328.00).

This includes free postage to the UK in 1 or 2 parcels if it is 10 units or more. All I need to know is how many of you would like to order one so I can see if it would be worthwhile? The bitch for me is I have one already and cant take advantage of this offer Big Cry If enough people want one then I can look into payments, postage etc. and take it from there Thumbs Up

Cheers Brian.

I'm interested but perhaps need to know a little more. I want to be able to do things like change the BCU settings, adjust the air suspension ride height etc. If it can do all that with this kit then I'm in Andy

This is spooky just looking at getting a Hawkeye or a Nanocom for my TD5 Defender but can not make up my mind which to get or which is best so anyone want to sway me.In the mean time I will put my name down for a TD5 package. He who dies with the most toys wins.

Hello,

Can anybody tell me what this would do with my late 2000 TD5 Defender? I am pretty sure its the non flashable ecu, just wondering what parameters it would read.

Than kyou,

Steve

You can read all the live data, change injector codes, change all security settings, pair up new remote fobs and all the abs/tc functions. Basicly you can do everything but re-write the fueling maps without having the chip changed in the ECU. The other option is to fit a post 2002 ECU with a different fuel mapping to suit the pre 2002 engine and then you can do everything you can with a post 2002 model, but its not as simple as it sounds.

Pete.

Off the top of my head you can read

Engine rpm
Road speed
idle speed error
Accelerator pedal readings in volts
Accelerator pedal voltage
Battery voltage
Air flow
Ambient air pressure
Turbo pressure
Inlet air temp
Coolant temp
Fuel temp
Cylinder balances

Im sure ive missed something on the list but that kinda covers the main ones.

Pete.

Might be a stupid question - but how / where do you guys recommend mounting one of these fancy units?

(having now discovered Scangauge is a no go for my TD5, this seems the next best option)
