Might be a stupid question - but how / where do you guys recommend mounting one of these fancy units?

(having now discovered Scangauge is a no go for my TD5, this seems the next best option)

Depends how well you want to see it, i put mine between the gear levers and the seatbox, a bit of Velcro helps. But what ever you do dont hard wire it in, with it connected you can bypass the alarm and immobiliser and start then engine without the fob. The alarm will go off when you enter but it wont take long to disable it with the Nanocom!

Pete.

Definately - it (from my memory) interfaces with ALL the on board systems on the defender allowing control over those systems.

Basically (and you can see from previous threads on it i have commented) if its as good as it was with the TD5 then its by far worth it AND its reputation speaks for itself!

Short of an Autologic system (at £12k) - its the best around. Mike

By interfacing and control you mean it can minipulatate a sensor to a generic setting in order to diagnose or to get you away?

Can it also recode puma alarm fobs?

I'm very tempted but can't help thinking that it may be better putting my money towards some Snap On diagnostics?

Just curious, why snap on?

The nanocom evolution is dedicated to Landrover/D2 TD5 and puma systems. Thumbs Up

The beauty of nanocom is it will work with all the LR systems, against just the odd item with the cheap(er) generic tools Mike

Yep - done the research, seems like a good investment, so put me down for a TD5 version
