Restored it with a friend of mine over 4 years. Had it about 8 years now. |

Had the Kes Spec valeted yesterday and decided to go over all the usual suspects with the trusty ACF 50...
Had also planned to re-fit my rear facing 'Dash' Cam and the UltraGuage, but my hands and digits seized up and I had to call it a day... Still, it is supposed to be a good day tomorrow so I should be able to have another go... Rog... The GREEN One... Tried to take it out the garage for the first time in a while last week, to find the battery flattened after two failed starts. So decided to go a bit crazy and go dual battery. Started phase one today. Let down by the courier delivering my Blue Sea 500A split charger, so that will be another day.
Click image to enlarge Twin Odyssey 1500DT batteries, supplied by Tayna batteries, best price and very good service. Battery tray from Devon 4x4, again great service and fast delivery. Top retainer bar not in place yet. Replaced the Battery terminal connectors with new ones from Halfords, great option as have extra screw terminals for additional wire connectors, removing the need for Bus Bars. Drilled out the bolt holes so could re-use the bolt with alternator cable attached. (I'm assuming its the alternator cable in the plastic conduit pipe). Just the Blue Sea piece and 2 35mm battery cables to fit, and job done. Very neat solution. Took about 2 hours including a quick trip to Halfords. May add a blue Sea six way additional fuse box if the mood takes me. |

@AJC Nice car. We had a lot of Ford tuners around where I live. As like a lot of people on here, I've had a fair share of RS's and it's nice to see these things in the backgrounds of pics. A long time friend has a couple of RS500's....amongst many mk1, mk2 RS Escorts.
@Leeroy, great stuff |
