What's the thoughts on the extra Nas reverse and fog mod? I always liked it and with the light guards extending over it always looks to me like it could look factory??

Thanks for the advice on the snorkel
And I agree that the double fogs and reverse looks good with the NAS LED lights, although I seem to remember that the LED fog is expensive for some reason! But full NAS rear lights is on my list Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

No problem David,
I want some extra reverse light (legally) so I guess it's the must obvious solution. I like the look of the double reversing and fog lights on the rear even just to make it symmetrical and the extra reversing light must help.
I know you have the two point (Mantec?) swing away spare wheel carrier, but I wonder if you ever changed to the Nakatanenga single point carrier if it would foul with the extra light? |

Haven't actually made the change yet Ross, but have ordered the lights, plinths and piggy back looms from Mobilecentre. Andy

I have said it before on here, but my original LED SVX reverse light is utterly useless. Does not light up anything well at all, even my clear LED SVX rear fog light is doing a much better job when need to lighten up the area behind the truck at night. I am not sure of course, but have doubts that doubling up the LED reverse light is going to improve things by very much. The other Le Perei LED rear lights are all very very good, much better than stock. Rear fog, tail/Stop, and turn signal which I also changed to LED. Just the reverse light seems a problem, mentioned on here by more than me alone.
Therefore I just added the Scenelight as a worklamp with an on/off button on the dash, so not connected to reverse mode, so legal. That one is perfect to lighten up the area behind the truck at night. To me the Scenelight looks as if it belongs there. Eric Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. I changed all mine to LED, I dont expect to reply of the extra reverse light, but its simply 2 will be better than 1. Thinking more for moving about carparks etc, makes it a bit more obvious to others what i am doing. I love the scene lights, if i had no rack i would have them, but i want to attach a switched light to the mounting point, just not the LR kit! I would have considered the little Lazer T2-R but i am not sure i can get it to mount to the rack plate and rotate at enough of an angle... Andy

Hey Mate,
Nice looking Defender and nice workmanship on the mods. I'm looking at Twisted wheels at the moment and trying to decide which way to go, my guess is yours are 0 offset with 285's? Any observations with what you have as to whether to go 0 or 10 offset or 285/65 or 265/65? Cheers Sean |

The zero offset sits perfect with the 285's and wheel arches, I like the sawtooths and bowler wheels but really think the dishes wheels suit the defender. The satin finish is easy to keep as well. Andy

Hi mcma1, been following your thread, awesome defender you got their with all the mods you have done, the lastest one (when you have the items to do the extra fog and reverse light) Are you going to keep the brake/side lights as they are, if so, why, if you dont mind me asking.
Cheers Clayton. |

Thanks Clayton,
I have the front end lights sorted, been trying to decide on a rear setup for a while now. For me the light guards have been designed to cover 3 lights on the bottom, so I think they fit in well. Do you mean having them red led instead of clear?? the 3 lights at the bottom are spot on, as you say with the light guards are made for three. The ones im on about are the ones above on there own, (above the number plate each side)
