I like those grilles but I don't know how well those Union Flags would fare up here in Glasgow...there are a lot of bams out there!

Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge New cubby box lid fitted. Went for the dual finish one from FCX. Really easy to fit. TIP: After fitting... I put double sided tape on the latch... reset it back in the lock in the box, close the box down onto it, and when I open ta-da... the latch is located in the right place. I then removed the box lid to fix it again with the screws. The double sided holds it in place during all of this. |

I have quotes from both Twisted and Urban Truck, but Twisted are being really patchy in their response as to when they could do this... so I may well end up going Urban Truck.

Click image to enlarge Flipping out the front badge for a more traditional one. Thought I was gonna have to take the grille off before I realised that the badge is easy to remove. I'll do a bit of sticking and bolting and get it back on there. |

Hi Jimmoore, have been looking at the voltmeter you have within your double din side panel and wondered if it is a 52mm sized one or any smaller? I saw the extra pictures on page 2 of the thread but still unsure about the diameter. My auto electrician will be installing a double din for me next week and he reckons I need to go with a smaller diameter so he found a 40mm one for me from Blue Sea. But I like the traditional looking ones such as VDOs and Smiths but so far I only found them in the 52mm size - hence wondering what size is yours to see if there actually are any smaller analogue ones worth digging for. Cheers!

Hey there thanks for the nice comments and the query.
It's a standard 52mm auxiliary gauge. I didn't fit myself, but was done at my local dealership for me. It's a pretty traditional looking dial... the old style bulb lighting. I danced around a few places. Twisted had difficulty in fitting me in and I was impressed with Urban Truck. In the end I had to hold off while we move house and had a honeymoon to pay for (while not earning while I was off away on it) - but I reckon it'll be Urban Truck in the end. Not this year by the looks of it but the LS3 is definitely on the cards. |
