HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Went up to the Land Rover Experience centre in Dunkeld. The complimentary half day isn't enough if you really want to get the full benefit so upgraded to the full day. Great way to spend Hogmanay before the party; and needless to say the Defender was awesome at all times. Looks a great day out!
I got the glove boxed installed no trouble at all. If you haven't fitted yours yet make sure you watch the youtube video on MSS website, makes it a piece of cake. I also have the Angel Eye Headlights to install but just waiting to get the side light piggyback leads. I did have a DRL bumper on my list to do but now with the Angels Eyes I think i'll just use them with side lights as DRL's at least you have some lights on the back as well. I look forward to hearing about the Twisted works, when it happens. I too have been trying to get some work done since September but everyone seems very busy! In all this time waiting and having time I've kept looking round and now really can't decide where to take it (within my budget?!?!?). Sometimes i feel there is too much information on this site! |

The training day looks fantastic - I'm sure you learnt a lot and is on my list following recent troubles
Car is looking fantastic too; I have a Santorini 90 too and most of my mods have come down to two options and you seem to have either the same or my other choice |

Still waiting on mine to arrive... but I'll make it my first self-doer project. Thinking on the snow cowl too just to keep any crap out of the top vent on the wing, but I want a metal one that's painted. Any thoughts? What lamps are you fitting? I am thinking I might flip out to the JW speaker ones as the angel eyes make the Defender look a but 'startled' - but I'll leave it for now. |

Cheers Paul... hope all is good with you. The DRLs are a nice safety feature especially when it gets a bit darker |

Cheers! Yes I thought that too when I saw your car. The experience is definitely worthwhile... novel point for me was doing a hill start in reverse with no feet on the pedals. A controlled descent backwards. |

That does not sound like a nice experience!
Still Richard Hammond in a defender on a winch going backwards down a dam could be worse! |

Hahaha no not at all. It wasn't that bad.
In fact,m there's loads of old Army training vids here that show that very same manoeuvre https://youtu.be/KFE3EsJILCI?t=3m20s |

hi that looks great. I wonder what will happen in the near future when the defender goes out of production? Will the defenders be withdrawn from the driving experience?

Instructor said to me that they will keep the last batch... maybe one or two. They only had two Defenders, a 110 SW and a 110 Pickup
