Just run a cloth over it for the present, remove all trace and see if it comes back. It could conceivably just be overspill from initial filling and they haven't bothered to clean it off first. |

I did just that today. Ended up cleaning most of the chassis, of various stains. Looks like new again. Gotta love microfibre cloths, and car creeper's!

Hi Avion8
I have now taken a photo of the underside of HUE and it is practically the same as your photo, but with a bit more fluid in view! I have cleaned the area now and will see how long it takes to return. Wanted a Defender for 30 years - now own the best - A Heritage 2015 90 SW Heritage 2014 RR Sport 2014 RR Evoke |

Had my 110 Adventure in the dealer yesterday getting a tow hitch fitted. I took the opportunity to ask him to inspect the transfer case and the residue blue fluid and showed him the pics. He said it was nothing to worry about. He believed it was just excess grease used in the assemble process. I haven't seen it again since the initial drips and nothing but dry residue left on the transfer case now.

Hi GreenHue, That is exactly the same location. I wiped mine clean yesterday & it's still clean this morning. Will check after todays drive to Perth. |

Crawled underneath today after approx 300kms & now no trace of blue grease or whatever it is/was. The area is now pristine clean. So could have been some sort of assembly fluid applied in an overzealous format by some celebrity on the line! |
