Australia 2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 Heritage Edition SW Grasmere Green
[quote="GreenHue"]HUE spent his first night with his new family.
He must have been a bit unsettled overnight as he left a little present for us on the garage floor to wake up to!
It appears to be a blue substance from the middle of the car.
Can anyone out there identify it......???

Hi GreenHue, I had a closer look under mine today & although no drops on the drive or garage pads, there is this distinct leak on the g/box to transfer case flange & a drip of one of the mount bolts:

I will keep an eye on this & see if anything makes it to the ground. Anyway your HUE looks great, & the more I drive mine the more I like him.

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green

Hi Rog, I will be taking it back but probably after Christmas, it is not a major leak & has left no marks on the outside world yet! If I put him in now I bet it would be next year before I get him back. Big Cry

Below quoted from my comments after our Celebration tour last week.

We also learned a lot, for instance...
Another interesting thing, our guide was adamant that there is no Defender that leaves the premises with a leak. If there would be a leak discovered it will get resolved prior to leaving the plant. Point was made multiple times that it is us here who with everything we later do with/to the trucks, are the cause of eventual leaks. Point well taken. Laughing

Apparently not correct seeing the various pictures... Rolling Eyes

Seems a bit more than just a coincidence, maybe a recurring problem with the present gbox/tranny assembly, no? If so, no idea if they still will be able to correct their assembly process between now and the end of production in January.

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green  You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
