The latest build date I've heard of is the 29th Jan (as mine). However, really not sure if that's start of build or end of build.

The final build date does seem to be a moving target.
When I was on the defender tour earlier this month our guide said that the final build date was going to be 25th Jan 2016. Perhaps they don't really want to end production after all, they will just keep on adding another couple of weeks to the 'final date'.... 2015 Defender 90XS HT |

collected mine yesterday from scotland. 250 miles later and it ran superb. the only thing i would look into is the addition of sound deadening. i quite like the green painted areas, so i don't know what i would do there.

Well done mate!
You will love it! Sound deadening... yes, it's nice to keep some "green"! So when I did my Keswick 90 with dynamite (which made a big difference), I left the 4 inch high 'side' areas between the wheel arch tops and window trim still bare. It is quite a small piece to 'resonate' so I figured Dynamat there would not make much difference. But the rest was done and I can still see 'green"!!! I will post a few piccies of that mod soon. In the meantime, Enjoy... a VV nice pair! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Yes mate , like you would not believe.
only time will tell if I've made a booboo or not I've only driven the Heritage home from the dealers so far as been flat out with work trying to clear it for a few days off. The 110 was my daily drive and in the end I just couldn't justify having the two. A 90 will be more practical for everyday use and I'm not going to be precious with it, it'll get used as much as possible and get dirty with trips out with the dog (once my M&M seat covers arrive |

You might have noticed a few posts re the ECU. What are your initial thoughts on the power / delivery?
Where are your seat covers coming from? I might have to order a set |

In answer to your question , I find the heritage much smoother than my 110. It appear lively also, but I don't know how much of that is the difernce in size. |

Are you getting the 'Rev Hang' mate? Mine dropped the revs (like a 'normal' car') towards idle between gear changes... no keeping the rpm up at 2200 ish for a few seconds before finally going towards idle rpm...
I went to my dealer today and he asked the mechanics. The said 'there must be something wrong with it'. Someone else commented it must be a 'special tune'. It is certainly not a 150 bhp 'Autobiography' 'tune' as it's no quicker. I am very puzzled, but suffice to say IF JLR have introduced an update to the ECU, it is, in my opinion, a much much better drive. I am also awaiting a reply from Ryan on this... Any observations on this from other Heritage owners very welcomed. YOLO... You Only Live Once... |
