Central locking actuator arrived this morning so I should be back to all five doors locking from the remote you never realise how annoying it is to unlock doors by hand until you have to do it every day
Click image to enlarge Quick delivery from island 4x4 too Hopefully some more exciting additions soon. Ray My build thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17615.html |

To carry on from my last post here's a small update as said everyone seemed to want to spend my money over the last couple of months so my mod budget shrunk a lot so my plan to take advantage of 4x4 overlander deal on nolden headlights has been put on hold for a while. I did want better light over winter though so figured I'd by some LED lights off sp 4x4 and then some time next year stick them on the mrs's double cab and buy some noldens for myself the lights are e marked so fully legal and look very similar to the earlier jw speakers although probably have much cheaper internals so we'll see how they hold up to everyday use.
Click image to enlarge With the possibility of snow build up as the lights run a lot cooler than halogen I decided to get a set of these. Click image to enlarge I'm going to put a small line of closed cell foam around the edge of the light guards as I've seen pics of dirt and water getting behind them around the bolts which looks pants and must scratch them so the foam should stop a lot of this. I'll be fitting the covers with security bolts too to add a little security. Ray My build thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17615.html Last edited by mk1collector on 2nd Dec 2015 2:52pm. Forgot to add I bought a new pair of stainless black powder coated headlight rings from 4x4 overlander to go on at the same time as mine have the usual added Landrover rust worms eating them away
Click image to enlarge I'll stick some pics up when I get to fit them if the rain ever stops Ray My build thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17615.html |
