Obviously don't get all HULK like on it. As long as the two screws are out of the front it should pull off with reasonable force.

DISCLAIMER: I take no responsibility for your unknown strength and breakages during the above process! Laughing Thumbs Up

I've had mine off many times and haven't broken anything Smile.

Hello All

These photos might help...

Remove Torx Screws

Pull back Console from the Top
This may be enough to feed cables through, as I did wanting to pick up a live feed off the heated rear window for the installation of a 13 Pin Towing electrics.

Pull fully Away
Roll to one side (near side is easier) to reveal the 'full' rear wiring and controls.

Good Luck SKIP

Thanks Skip.
it is not necessary to remove knobs and switches and no need to unplug the pins.

Hello coxmax

No, two Torx Screws that's it.

The centre console does locate itself in a few positions these are designed to release and then relocate
when re-fixed. Pull gently and evenly across the top of the Console... Thumbs Up

Heater / Air Conditioning Controls Stay behind
Clock and Push Buttons and Radio come forward

Great, thanks X4SKP and all of you... Bow down

Have any of you ever had problems fitting all the wiring back in place? Looks like a bunch of wires there Whistle

There are times when you just have to bite the bullet and get stuck in, no end of questions and answers will cover all the possible permutations and possibilities

...just ask Zagato [only old timers here will have the faintest idea what that is about] Laughing Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.

Personally I'd recommend removing the HU first then the dash.
Otherwise you're much more likely to damage the HU, mounting or dash.
Refitting I would do the reverse as you'll likely get trapped wires.

It is just the 2 screws, I did mine this morning, slightly nervous but it came away pretty well. Replaced a few bulbs that had blown (that was more difficult, fiddly things Evil or Very Mad )

Good luck

Thumbs Up
