That's more like it! The original (ebay) one is clearly useless with Wolf rims, Blindos, and many other wheel options. The Nak one addresses these, assuming that there's enough adjustment on the padlock plate thingy. Looks a good solution. The padlock is more secure too. |

As soon as the production ones are ready we will be offering them to Defender 2 members.
We will probably have a couple of options with or without lock so you can source the lock if you like. The type of lock is called a puck load or disc/shackle less lock. It would be advise able to use a wheel cover to keep the elements/muck off the lock. Brendan |

the puck lock looks flawed !
That would cause some twisting on the defender!and the flange on the prototype looks a bit flimsy! |

I am not sure it is sensible to distribute even further on the internet how to overcome ANY security device!
A determined scumbag who comes properly tooled up will be able, given enough time to overcome most security devices!. Now how long and what equipment did the Hatton Gardens thieves use to get through over 0.5m of reinforced concrete recently? Brendan |

Sorry Brendan but my approach is different to yours ..the scumbags dont need any advice!as they already know all the tricks ......... but the Defender owners do need to be made aware of the failure of security devices!Yes scumbags tooled up will get past most security but it is my opinion that the flange on the prototype looks too thin and needs beefing up! and you would be better served with one of these with a decent anti pick anti grinder lock:

It wasn't the lock that failed, it was the hasp.

In my opinion it is stupid to spread information on how to overcome any security device.
That second photograph can be easily overcome. First photograph what is the shear strength of 8mm bolts? OK multiply by 3 Now I doubt 3' stilsons and 6' of scaffold poles are standard equipment of the opportinist scumbags Now what is the expression? Layers of security?? Brendan |
