Fitted some Dynamat.
Only fitted three sheets so far on seatboxes and noticed an approx 1 - 2 dB reduction in noise at idle as I tested before and after. In the exact same location iPad placed etc 71dB prior approx 69 / 70dB after. More to fit tomorrow. Only done the bases of seatboxes and two seatbox sides on the top and side so not much yet really. I cant view the video, but the effect you are describing might be caused by the image stabilisation capabilities of the camera/phone. Bizarrely when you get a certain vibration in the vehicle, you will get a wobble as the image stabilisation tries to compensate. You could try turning that feature off and see if it makes any difference. cheers simon |

Dropped the red 90 off for a couple of days worth of investigation into it's newly acquired electrical gremlin.
Drove out in Disco Sport and I must say it is far better than the pre production version I drove six months ago. The power steering is far more balanced and the interior finish is good. Engine is a bit gutless in second gear but the drive is OK. Managed to give it a good test as the A303 was closed with a multi vehicle accident so a 20 minute drive home turned into an hour and a half on the back lanes. Still won't buy one, I still prefer the Ewok Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

Pickles - I'm fitting them tomorrow so I'll 'PM' you a few photos if that's helpful.
Hopefully I'll remember. I got them from LRi on eBay but they are made by YRM so you can buy direct too I think. |

Went to Machynlleth and then Newtown in Wales was averaging 35mpg on the B roads according to the scan gauge but dropped to 20mpg on the M54 and M6 at 70mph on the way back. Now up to 14k miles and seems to be running better than ever, transmission is definitely much tighter and gear change better since the clutch and g/box to t/box shaft was replaced. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |
