Hi Ant,
My 110, 'YOLO', is in Australia. Most Defenders arrive there pretty specced up as standard (e.g. the 'Heritage' will have A/C!!) so mine is probably the same as the XS here in the UK, with 1/2 leather seats and A/C too. I am making mine along the lines of the Urban Truck process... so it will eventually also have SawTooth black pack alloys, KBX black front end and intakes, tow pack, tinted windows, black checker plate and Mantec RAI, MUD rails with Exmoor Trim extended seat bases, white LED lights, JW Speaker headlamps, TerraFirma bumperetts, and leather dash trims. Click image to enlarge image upload no compression I am planning a 'loop' of OZ I hope, so will also be fitting an OEM Landcover BullBar with some big spot's. Winch, dual battery install, Expedition roof rack and rack top tent, 55L fridge/freezer (for the beer of course!), ling range fuel tank, water tanks, recovery kit etc etc for that. My OZ dealer was pretty good... they swapped the Wrangler MTR tyres that were originally on the sawtooth's over with another new Defender that had the Continental AT's. I drove both before hand and given a lot of OZ is actually tarmac, the Conti's were MUCH quieter! Weirdly, the truck cost LESS in OZ than the same spec one here in the UK! I note the same is also happening with the 'Heritage' versions! Nuts really, considering the 12,000 mile shipping, customs, tax, exchange rate etc etc! Anyway, enjoy yours and post up the pictures as you go! The black HD wheels will look cool! Cheers, Pete YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Cheers mate.
But at the moment I am just doing day trips on typical bush tracks like this one... Click image to enlarge picture uploader So easy to find peace quite close to the urban madness actually! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Not sure about that Pete, but I'm sure we'll have the best Defender silverware on the table
Would be a great photo op if you're ever in these parts during your trip around the island |

Would absolutely love to one day but my better half is a little dubious about such an undertaking, but you never know how she'll feel when the new truck arrives.
Can you please do me a huge favor and measure the height of the rear seats at the back when they are in the folded forward position? Thanks for your help |

What wheel is that and where did you get it? Jeff :cow: Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Wow, that's a lot of money. Do you like it? Is it too close to your chest? I bought a wheel for my TDi and it was too close.

Yes not cheap however a really lovely bit of kit in the flesh. I recently sent it to the dealership to be installed with all the other gear so can't comment on the positioning. But from all reports and the fact that its a lot smaller than the OEM wheel I would say it should be fine.

Hi Ant, Will do mate... but won't be for another 3-4 weeks yet as I am still in the UK! I am sure somewhere else on here will let you have that measurement Cheers, Pete. P.S I looked at a Defender with 'your' steering wheel fitted... it was really nice, certainly a high quality item that fitted and felt great. YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Ah no worries forgot you were abroad mate And yes the steering wheel is at the top of my favorite mod list so far!
Got another update from the dealer today. Things are being held up by a few back-ordered parts but he sent a few more snaps Tint done on top of the privacy glass for extra privacy and to keep inside temps icy cool Click image to enlarge Plus some tail light protection Click image to enlarge And a front end shot too Click image to enlarge |
