Tis' a nice dealership if only it was in a slightly better less busy location. Thumbs Up
They've done a good job with mine there and I didn't feel, like you were looked down upon if a suit walked in.

After finding a slight disadvantage of the electric RX8 seats, they're designed to get up out of not slide down and out, I fabricated a bar that fits on the side to stop me destroying the plastic side panel and switches. It works by being around the same height of the plastic trim on the side so I can slide out of the seat and over the bar without putting any weight on the plastic. Seems to be OK and not too out of place, another advantage is that the seatbelt is kept away from the door catch, anything to stop it from keep being snagged in the door catch when the door is closed.

Went to Preston and back, around a 180 mile round trip on the M6. Loving the Puma, and the BAS remap, didn't miss a beat sat effortlessly up the outside lane most of the way, no comparison against the older models when at motorway speeds for a long time. Thumbs Up Pete

Graham, all I did was attatch a bit of round tube bent to follow the seat.
The rocksliders are made by me and I fix what's left of the original folding side steps with a couple of bolts to make getting in and out easier. Only 5 minutes to take them off when needed.

Are right i see, thought you mean't climbing in and out as i find i need a step to help getting in and out of the 90 but more for getting in but then i do have 265 special tracks fitted aswell which doesn't help, think a decent rock / tree slider where i can use as a step aswell should do Thumbs Up Graham

Good luck Graham as when I was looking round there are plenty of sliders about but with doing a school run I wanted a means of a step below the cill height and that's where I decided to make my own. Yes I could have left the folding steps under the sliders but the whole point was to give protection to the vehicle and I've lost count of the number of times I have had to straighten out mangled steps that were in the "up" position. Personally I'm not a fan of round tube on a Defender hence the square sliders(plus that's what I'd got to hand) and the steps are the old folding ones dismantled down to just the treadplate with a couple of bits of angle welded on to poke up through the gap between the outer bar and the cill box section and just a bolt through that tightens up against the main box section to keep them in place and stop them rattling. All very agricultural but serve a purpose.

Took off my rear wheel arch spat for a reason today.
Can you spot the problem left?
I can sort it, but goes to show that I did have to replace it to sort this out.

Then the CP will have to come off first and probably the rear quarter protection too.
If it wasn't for the CP and protection there this would have been much worse.

Slight update on this although not that exciting.

Took off the rear quarter step / guard no probs. The CP was a pain due to silicone but done now.

Got the panel edge straightened no problem as its all hidden anyway it's not much to worry about asthetically.
So now it's perfectly straight again as it should have always stayed. Rolling Eyes
New arch spat fitted on that I got from breakers, all good bar it's silver not Stornoway which is as it was sold its difficult to tell the difference.
Anyway, will take it off soon for matching paint then fit all the bits back and that should be that.

Didn't want to go about with a panel slightly out of true and a crack in the arch but it's only taken me nearly two years to get around to sorting it. Laughing

BP - I got a pair of those I've not long fitted too. Nice aren't they!
They work better integrated with the other LED's I think as well, pretty obvious really as a mix of incandescent and LED aren't going to work great.
They look modern and are brighter I think.

Thumbs Up
