LED Rear Indicator Issue
OK so I am currently fitting a WIPAC LED light kit to my 2.4tdci....

All the lights are working except the nearside rear indicator I have installed the new relay supplied in the kit.

Paddocks kindly sent me out a replacement unit, still does not work....

I have put the old unit back on and it works fine.... Shocked

So with my limited knowledge im guessing its not a wiring issue as far as i can tell, the relay has been fitted and im presuming I have not got 2 faulty units....

Any Ideas, have i missed something silly?

wiring wrong way round

leds only work wired one way

so try swapping wires round in that light plug

As Munch mentions that'd be most likely.
Failing that, remove clean and refit earth strap and bolt for rear lighting on the transfer box.
The first suggestion is most likely though.

Could either be the lights you have wired opposite or maybe someone fitted another plug on the Landy with the wrong polarity.
Issue wouldn't show with an incandescent bulb as polarity doesn't matter but with LED's it does.

Before swapping wiring around, remove one of the working indicators and fit the 'non working' indicator.

If 'non working' indicator suddenly works it is a polarity issue.

Can be slightly awkward to change wires in an ecoseal connector but spare connectors are only a couple of pounds.

Ok well after a bit of a hectic weekend I finally got round to having another look....

Thank you all Bow down

The wiring was the wrong way round. I traced back to 2 bullet connectors and swapped them over. Weirdly the bullet connectors were taped up with. Electrical tape. Not sure if someone has played with them before... If not its just a standard defender wiring thing.

Anyway thanks again all Smile
