Nearly missed that one. Laughing I do indeed like that look very much. Just heading down the 305/70/16 route myself.

Amazing how the white 'changes tint' from photo to photo. Interesting build and you do have a discerning eye and great results with your projects.

Vested interest.... Did you stick with the beads or not?

Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Thanks Guys.
In answer to K9 about the balancing beads not 100% sure now. Reason being had a good long chat with the bloke at Dyna beads UK and was a fantastic help, he even went to the length of contacting a tyre firm in the USA to find out there stats on the tyre as its not listed on there size. He wasnt convinced though being a lower profile that it wouldnt still need some weights on the rim aswell, so for the time ill have them rebalanced and do it if I loose any weights again.
Must say fantastic to hear an honest answer from a company so 10/10 from me and will certainly use them in the future.

Greeni, I should have been clearer the pic is with the LED rear lights. It was the fronts and the headlights I didnt have time to change, like you say Ii like to leave the red as a bit of contrast. Thumbs Up

Tookaphotof, did the parcel arrive ok mate?

Cheers Tom

Seems a strange history to this one will be finding out more when I get the v5 back from the dvla hopefully, before it goes off again for my plate, why you cant do it on-line like everything else I dont know!
Had a trial fit of the roof and looks good, will try and sort it sunday for paint next week. Smile

Certainly is just got back and my old man got roped into getting the roof rack on top of his volvo estate Laughing
He was very tempted by the 90 heritage they had so you never know!

Anyway got it back fine, after an eventful start. about a mile down the road went over a bump and released the rear wheel carrier and swing away (didnt have a strap so swung out to the other side of the road) First thing I knew was seeing it in my mirror! anyway pulled over and put the pin from the towbar though it and carried on uneventfully the rest of the way.

Now its home gave it a bit more of a clean (no point doing to much as off moving trailers tomorrow) and fitted my snow vent, removable wheel and lock and sorted a new stainless wire crimpted to the right length to hold the carrier so it only opens behind the car rather than to the side, advantages of having marine equipment!

Not much will be done until the weekend now as booked in for a waxoyl and new screen rubber and ill fit the LED light set and speaker LED headlights I kept from the last one.
Then just the balancing beads to get and fit the wheels plus test fit the back before it goes of to be painted and the rack to fit. So not much really Laughing

Might have to get rid of the NAS step for a proper hitch aswell as its a stupid height up there!

Where did you get the lockable boss from?

Its an NRG one, but is only compatible with there removable wheel kit. There are better designed removable wheel bosses out there, but my reason for getting this was the lock jit with it is the only real one ive seen and by far the best. they have a website and think there on ebay to.
Fitted a VW wiper relay mod and had the speaker LED lights sorted out aswell Thumbs Up

Some updates.
Backs off at the paint shop, should be done tomorrow or next week depending on how busy hes been.
Got the boosts sold and swapped the NAS Bumper with Roy for an adjustable. Love the look of the NAS steps but there just a stupid height anyway let alone with my wheels on for our trailers and no point modifying one with insurance and the police being so hot on trailers round here its just not worth the risk.
Might get my Gwyn Lewis front flap mounts fitted to save the sides a bit just got to test if they clear first. Thumbs Up

Just got the windows tinted aswell Smile

Hi There, the stickers are reference (locator) points for a 3D measuring system. You stick them on then measure it, then use the car then measure it agin to see if the body is contorting so to speak. No big deal, just unusual to have a car for sale with them still on.

Had a trial fit of my maxxtraxx bike rack aswell and all worked fine, with enough space to clear the rear ladders to be fitted.
Back should be back from paint later this week aswell Smile

Backs nearly fully fitted, got the glass in the back but not the front. Its about half way there really, then ill ply line the inside and sort some shelves out. Still the rack to go on which will help secure it and twin rear ladders will go on to. Thumbs Up
