+1 for RCV They really know there stuff Thumbs Up

Have had a few odd jobs done by them as an alternative to Harwoods and have been very impressed with them and there attention to detail.

Should have said you were coming I could have popped up and met you as I only work around the corner! Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197

Certainly is just got back and my old man got roped into getting the roof rack on top of his volvo estate Laughing
He was very tempted by the 90 heritage they had so you never know!

Anyway got it back fine, after an eventful start. about a mile down the road went over a bump and released the rear wheel carrier and swing away (didnt have a strap so swung out to the other side of the road) First thing I knew was seeing it in my mirror! anyway pulled over and put the pin from the towbar though it and carried on uneventfully the rest of the way.

Now its home gave it a bit more of a clean (no point doing to much as off moving trailers tomorrow) and fitted my snow vent, removable wheel and lock and sorted a new stainless wire crimpted to the right length to hold the carrier so it only opens behind the car rather than to the side, advantages of having marine equipment!

Not much will be done until the weekend now as booked in for a waxoyl and new screen rubber and ill fit the LED light set and speaker LED headlights I kept from the last one.
Then just the balancing beads to get and fit the wheels plus test fit the back before it goes of to be painted and the rack to fit. So not much really Laughing

Might have to get rid of the NAS step for a proper hitch aswell as its a stupid height up there!

Very nice. I love double cabs Smile I'm also looking for a rear NAS step, and have the adjustable drop plate tow ball on the back of mine, could be a good swap? Pm me if interested.

Thanks Guys, ill try to keep it up to date on here and at least one pic per page of anything interesting. Ill put some pics up of the strange stickers all over it soon as theres some LR workers on here who might even know what they mean?

Might get the wheels on tomorrow evening if theres time, as not so sure about the balancing beads now after hearing from them the tyres might be to low profile, so back to the old way I think

Will look a bit different but everything done will be removable- hopefully Whistle
Nice front runner rack on a volvo anyone? Laughing

Liking that a lot, it's going to look awesome with your other wheels on there.

Let me know if you decide to remove the NAS step, I might be interested in buying it Smile

Enjoy

Haha my Dad saw it and called me an idiot so reckon he's not one. Still I like it so all the counts that we enjoy them isnt it.
These are the stickers all over it from new apparently, anyone know what they mean?

Have taken the rear wheel carrier off as will be fitting the spare inside, to keep it safe and out the way for towing, NAS step still to come off and a couple of LED rear lights fitted before I ran out of time. Following some advice on here managed to fit an X-Eng folding pedal lock with the aircon by cutting the pannel a bit by the speaker. Also found a strange button on the dash which I need to find out what it does. Only other minor change was removing the rear seat securing bolt so they can be folded forwards now, just to get the back on then nearly done Thumbs Up

Lovely car. Would have gone for a 110 crew cab myself if possible. Unfortunately that would mean having to pay ridiculous taxes. Laughing

I think the clear rear lights will not be as nice as the standards. It breaks up the white.

Cool looking truck, I can't remember seeing another white DC on here. Cool
