ok nice one robo is the light coming on though

i was thinking along those line but a machined peice about 10mm thick with a hole drilled with a union of to a breather or sonething ?
using a blanking plate to block the manifold

altho you would havt to only use th manifold bolts to hold the egr on without a supporting bolt im shure it wont hurt ?

steve

any one got down to the 10mm hole yet

No light steve ! but this method does need alot more testing. i agree to machine a chunky block of steel with an induction port and pipe would work. I was trying to come up with something that would not get noticed at dealer vists or as easy as one of my blanks to take out Thumbs Up Question Question any ideas anyone 2008 110 County utility

Tim,

I fitted the 10mm plate yesterday and I had to loosen the bolt on the right side of the engine to get enough room to pull out the previous plate and fit in the 10mm plate.

I haven't been out on the road to try it out yet. Hopefully the light won't come on when I do!

I will post again later once I've done some miles.

My MIL light has now lit after fitting 10mm blanking plate and traveling about 600 miles Sad

Time to try the 12mm plate I think?

Jumping in on this conversation, I have a 110 Stormaway XS utility that is almost the twin of the one pictured in this conversation. I have had the 12mm plate fitted for about the last 500 miles and my light has now come on, so will move up to the next size when I get a chance. Also have BAS remap, Safari Snorkel, ITG air filter, Allisport hoses and straight through centre pipe...

Bigfog,

I have a similar set up to you and am running 10mm have no MIL light, (it did come on once with a P1103 code which I reset and has not reoccurred) it may just be a one off???? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Could well be, but how can I clear the fault to see if it happens again, all I have is the BAS mapping tool which I understand can read the codes, but not sure if it will clear them as well - short of that the car has gone beautifully since the plate went in. Thanks for the input.

Many thanks Fekete, I'll give it a go, it's got to be easier than changing the plate out, especially as it's dark and wet outside now.
